Must be a professional with a designdegree and experience in the field of luxury residential interior design. Candidate must bewilling to relocate and travel as the position is based Los Cabos, Mexico and will require travelto Los Angeles. While Spanish is not a pre requisite, excellent spoken and written Englishcommunications are a must to correspond with vendors, be able to problem solve and meetwith clients. We are looking for a designer with great taste who is highly organized, a savvyshopper and a creative space planner with a professional appearance. In addition, they musthave basic knowledge of CAD, be able to work with builders to complete interior specificationsand manage design related stresses such as tardy vendors and shipping mishaps.Senior Interior Designer, Washington, DC: 65 person firm with locations in DC, Dallas and San Francisco and a small satellite in Jeddah seeks a Senior Interior Design for its Washington D.C. office. This is a global interior architecture and design firm specializing in luxury hospitality and multi residential projects worldwide.The senior interior designer has overall responsibility for the design quality for the project. This person has the ability and responsibility to conceptualize the project as a whole, sets the initial design direction for the project, along with the Principal in Charge, and makes critical aesthetic decisions throughout the project while integrating input from client representation. Candidate should posess a minimum of 8-10 years experience in hospitality design and NCIDQ certification is preferred. VP of Interior Design, Washington DC: 65 person firm with locations in DC, Dallas and San Francisco and a small satellite in Jeddah seeks a VP Interior Design for its Washington D.C. office. Firm has a near-future presence in China with work already underway. This is a global interior architecture and design firm specializing in luxury hospitality and multi residential projects worldwide.They will consider candidates nationally and internationally, with London, Dubai, Hong Kong candidates possibly. The best candidate brings new client/brand relationships to their already robust client base.VP of Interior Design must have 15+ years of luxury hospitality design experience and have worked on substantial projects from $50 to $500 million. Global experience is a big plus and experience with all of the leading luxury brands Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, Aman, etc.

Bio

Terry Thiele received her BFA from James Madison University's FIDER accredited Interior Design program. Her summer internship was spent working with Gwathmey Siegel Associates Architects in Manhattan. After completing school, she worked for Michael Graves and Associates before leaving the field to work as a recruiter. She started Transept Recruiters in 2007 in order to combine her two loves- design and recruiting- and to provide a specialized resource for firms seeking qualified candidates.

Terry has remained in touch with her colleagues in the design industry and she has continued to network in the architecture field. She uses these contacts as well as creative searches to place qualified candidates with top level firms.
