Transept Recruiters
Transept Recruiters specializes in the placement of architectural design professionals working with the most competitive firms and candidates in the fields of architecture, interior design, graphic design, and branding. We also specialize in the placement of physicians in a variety of specialties across the United States.

Terry Thiele, Owner/Recruiter, received her BFA from James Madison University with a concentration in Interior Design. Her summer internship was spent working with Gwathmey Siegel Associates Architects in Manhattan. After graduation she worked for Michael Graves and Associates for 2 years before leaving the field to work as a recruiter. Terry has remained in touch with her colleagues and friends in the design industry and has done extensive networking in the medical field. She uses these contacts as well as her recruiting experience to place top-level candidates.

About Us

Our Name:

A Transept is the area set crosswise to the nave in a cruciform (”cross-shaped”) building in Romanesque and Gothic Christian church architecture. This name incorporates the owner’s initials (TT) and symbolizes the crossover of industries.

Working with Transept Recruiters:

Candidates:

We will present our current opportunities to you and you will let us know if any of the openings are a good fit for what you’re looking for. If interested (with your permission only), we will present you to the client. If they would like to set up an interview with you, we will act as the go-between. From that point, we are available to offer advice. We do our best to find out what we can to help you to be as knowledgeable as possible going into the interview. If it gets to the point of an offer, we are able to help you negotiate the fairest offer possible. I am paid by the company on upon the successful placement of a candidate so there are no fees on your part.

If our current opportunities were not of interest to you, we will do some more research on your behalf with our industry contacts to see if we can find anything that meets your requirements. If successful, we will tell you about the opportunity and present you to the client with your permission.

Clients:

Once we have a fee agreement signed, we will contact active candidates and present your opportunity to them. If interested, we will forward you their resume, work samples, and salary requirements plus any additional information we have. After speaking with current candidates, we will seek out additional candidates using industry contacts and creative searches. We work on a contingency basis and fees are paid upon the successful placement of a candidate according to our fee agreement.
